The most frequent questions
What does open-air mean?+
Behind our showroom at H26 there is a beautiful courtyard that we turn into an open-air comedy club every Friday and Saturday. A flexible, retractable roof keeps the club atmosphere even when the weather changes – the part above the stage can stay closed if needed.
What happens if the weather is bad?+
Our courtyard has a fully closable roof that can be shut within one minute. When it's sunny it stays open; if it rains or gets cold we close it – so you always stay warm and dry, and the show never gets cancelled.
How does a show at HAHA Comedy Club work?+
A stand-up show at HAHA Comedy Club lasts about two hours including a break. In the first half the host warms you up and brings two comedians to the stage for around 15 minutes each. Then there's a 20-minute break for drinks. The second half opens with our legendary improv game where you set the topics, and closes with our headliner — and sometimes a surprise guest.
What's the difference between a Mixed Show and an Open Mic?+
At an open mic, comedians test brand-new material. Once it works, they bring it to Mixed Shows, where established comedians and the best newcomers perform their proven sets. HAHA Comedy Club primarily shows Mixed Shows, with nationally known comedians occasionally dropping in.
Which comedians will I see?+
The best comedians the German-speaking scene has to offer — not always the most famous, but always top quality. Sometimes comedians you know from TV or social media drop by too.
How can I become a comedian myself?+
Cologne has many great open mics to take your first steps on stage. And who knows — maybe we'll see you in one of our Mixed Shows soon!
What even is stand-up comedy?+
Stand-up comedy is a form of entertainment where a single comedian performs in front of an audience using only voice and gestures, usually without props. Topics range from everyday observations to political or social themes. A strong connection with the audience is key.
Where is HAHA Comedy Club in Cologne?+
HAHA Comedy Club is inside H26 at Zülpicher Str. 26, 50674 Cologne — in the Kwartier Latäng. By tram (KVB) use the stops Zülpicher Platz or Universitätsstraße; it's a few minutes' walk from Neumarkt.
When do shows take place?+
Every Friday and Saturday. Tickets and exact doors/start times are on our Tickets page.
What language are the shows in?+
Our shows are mostly in German. We offer English-language stand-up comedy in Cologne on selected dates — check the schedule.
How much are tickets and where do I get them?+
Tickets start around €19.90 via our Tickets page and partner. With just under 100 seats, capacity is limited — be quick.
Is the club good for bachelor parties or corporate events?+
Yes! For groups, bachelor parties, birthdays and corporate events in Cologne we're the perfect spot. Come at special rates or rent the club exclusively. Email us at haha@hahacomedy.de.

Our comedy club inside a secret bar: H26
Every Friday and Saturday the back of H26 (formerly Hillebrands) becomes a real comedy club: nearly 100 seats, a small stage with mic and barstool, and a lot of authenticity. The bar keeps the drinks cold and after the show the venue takes you on a journey into another world.
By tram (KVB): stop Zülpicher Platz on lines 9, 12 and 15. Alternatively lines 16 and 18 to the stop Barbarossaplatz. Both about a 5-minute walk.
By train: stop Köln Süd with the RE or RB from the direction of Bonn and Cologne. About a 5-minute walk.
By car: parking in various garages nearby. With a bit of luck there are free spaces right on Zülpicher Straße.
